Midleton Method & Madness Garryana Oak is a single pot still Irish whiskey from Midleton Distillery in County Cork, bottled at 46% ABV as part of the Method and Madness range.
The base is a triple-distilled spirit made from malted and unmalted barley, first matured in ex-bourbon American oak casks and then finished in virgin Garryana oak barrels. Garryana is Oregon white oak from the Pacific Northwest of the United States.
The nose is typically described as smoked applewood, treacle and golden raisins. The palate brings black pepper, coffee cake and clove, and the finish is long and warm, with coffee grounds and malted barley.
