Redbreast Lustau Sherry Finish (70cl, 46%)

Redbreast Lustau Sherry Finish is an Irish single pot still whiskey from the Midleton distillery, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is a permanent addition to the Redbreast range and puts the sherry side of the brand in front. The whiskey is first matured in bourbon casks, then finished in casks that previously held first-fill Oloroso sherry from the Lustau bodega, which has supplied Irish distillers with casks for decades. The sherry casks add a lively note alongside the pot still character. Pot still whiskey is made from malted barley together with unmalted green barley, which gives it a crisp, green apple flavour.
