Midleton – Very Rare 2023 Vintage Release (70cl, 40%)

Midleton Very Rare 2023 Vintage Release is an Irish blended whiskey from the Midleton Distillery in County Cork. It is the 2023 edition of an annual series first introduced in 1984, made up of single pot still and single grain whiskeys matured in lightly charred ex-bourbon casks of American oak. It is bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The nose offers nectarine, ripe melon, green apple and apricot, with fresh ginger, ground peppercorn, dried flowers, golden syrup, vanilla, honeycomb and roasted coffee beans. The palate is juicy and creamy, with candied orange and dried apricot. The finish builds in fruit and spice before oak tannins and ripe grain whiskey close it.
