Midleton – Very Rare 2023 Vintage Release (70cl, 43%)

Midleton Very Rare 2023 Vintage Release is an Irish whiskey blending single pot still and single grain whiskeys, hand-selected from Midleton's inventory by Master Distiller Kevin O'Gorman. It was matured in lightly charred ex-bourbon American oak barrels. This release comes in a cardboard box, the first time since 1990 that the expression has been packaged this way, a choice made for sustainability. The nose brings ripe fruit, ginger, peppercorns, dried flowers and sweet golden syrup. The palate is creamy, with orange, apricot, camomile tea, floral spice and charred oak, leading to a finish of oak tannins and aged grain whiskey.
