Midleton Very Rare 2024 is a vintage release of Irish whiskey, created by Master Distiller Kevin O'Gorman to mark 40 years. It is bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle and matured in oak, with American oak among its influences.
The nose is vanilla with floral and herbal notes, ripe apple and pear, cinnamon, clove, hay, toffee and heather honey. The palate shows peach, nectarine, crème brûlée, toffee apple and chocolate-dipped honeycomb, with pot still spices and charred oak. The finish is lasting, with fruit and American oak.
