Midleton – Very Rare Vintage Release 2023

Midleton Very Rare Vintage Release 2023 is an Irish whiskey from Master Distiller Kevin O'Gorman, who drew on whiskeys from the historic Warehouse A2 and brought together Single Pot Still and Single Grain. This release uses a higher proportion of pot still whiskey, a slightly smaller share of grain whiskey and more refill casks. The oak influence is less dominant as a result, which lets mature fruit, spice and cereal character come forward. The nose offers nectarine, ripe melon, green apple and apricot, with ginger, pepper, dried flowers, golden syrup and vanilla. The palate brings ripe fruits, camomile, candied orange and dried apricot. The finish carries pot still spices, oak tannins and the mature character of the grain whiskey.
