Milam & Greene Very Small Batch is a Texas straight bourbon, Batch 2, bottled at 54% ABV (108 proof) in a 70cl bottle. It is a blend of a Kentucky straight bourbon (70% corn, 22% malted rye, 8% malted barley) and a Tennessee bourbon (80% corn, 10% rye, 10% malted barley). The blend spent about four years maturing in Texas before a finish in French oak. The whisky is more than four years old. The nose is sweet, with jammy dark fruit and French toast. Fruity sweetness moves into freshly baked biscuits on the palate, and the finish is long with rounded wood notes.
