Milam & Greene – Wildlife Guadalupe Bass Bourbon Cask (70cl, 62.5%)

A Texas bourbon from Milam & Greene, bottled at 62.55% in a 70cl bottle. It is a master blend of three casks and is 7 years, 1 month and 4 days old. The mash bill is 58% corn, 36% rye and 8% barley. Two of the casks spent 4 years in Kentucky and then 3 years and 1 month in Texas. The third spent 5 years and 7 months in Kentucky, followed by 1 year and 6 months in Texas. The nose has strong allspice, clove and nutmeg with sticky toffee pudding. The palate brings dried apricots, vanilla custard with black cherries, crème brûlée, a hint of aniseed and oak. The finish is powerful, with aniseed, menthol and tannin.
