Miyagikyo Aromatic Yeast is a single malt from the Nikka Discovery series, bottled in 2022 at 47% in a 70cl bottle. The release came to 4,800 bottles.
The nose is described as exuberant, with lavender, marshmallow, green malted barley, meadow flowers, pear, peach, apricot and lemon meringue pie. The palate opens with fresh herbs, then brioche, sourdough, pear, white peach and acacia honey. The finish is long and silky, with chamomile, sage, verbena, a touch of salt, mint and mild smoke.
