Montelvini Asolo Prosecco Superiore Extra Brut Millesimato (75cl)

This is an Extra Brut sparkling wine from Montelvini, made from Glera under the Asolo Prosecco Superiore DOCG. It is a Millesimato, sold in a 75cl bottle. The grapes are picked in the first days of September and gently pressed. The must is handled at carefully controlled temperatures, with oxygen kept in check through storage and the secondary fermentation, so the aromas of the grape stay intact. The low sugar level is balanced by a notable body. On the nose it is floral and fruity, with apple and pear. The palate is intense, with good structure and fresh acidity, and the bubbles and moderate alcohol sit well with a balance of sweetness, acidity, savouriness and minerality.
