Morris – Muscat Barrel Australian Single Malt Whisky (70cl)

This is an Australian single malt from Morris, in a 70cl bottle. It is matured in a mix of French and American oak ex-wine barrels, then finished in Morris Muscat barrels that previously held the distillery's Muscat wine. The whisky is a deep copper colour with reddish hues, and has a creamy mouthfeel. The nose is rich with dates, figs and dark molasses. On the palate it is well balanced, with dried fig, sweet malt, vanilla and spice, and a hint of cocoa and cinnamon. The finish shows a clear oak influence and lingers on the palate.
