Morris – Rutherglen Sherry Barrel Australian Single Malt (70cl, 46%)

Morris Sherry Barrel is an Australian single malt from Rutherglen, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It matured in French and American oak casks that previously held Australian red wine, then was finished in barrels that held Morris of Rutherglen 10-year-old Aged Amber Apera, a dry sherry-style wine made mainly from Palomino grapes. The nose offers spun toffee, baked peach flan and fresh sherry cask notes. On the palate there is subtle spice, toasted nut and clean oak, and the finish brings candied lemon with gentle sage and marjoram.
