Morris Rutherglen Tokay Barrel is an Australian single malt made at the Morris distillery in Rutherglen, Victoria, from local ingredients. It is bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky was aged mainly in French oak ex red wine casks, then finished in barrels that held the distillery's own 15 year old Cellar Reserve Grand Topaque (Tokay).
The nose has dried orchard fruits, malted butterscotch and burnt toffee pecan. The palate brings fresh fruit, white chocolate creme brulee and a hint of toasted spice. The long finish is of raisin, giving way to malted honeycomb.
