Mortlach 12 Year Old 'The Wee Witchie' is a Speyside single malt from Dufftown, bottled at 43.4% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It takes its name from the smallest still in the distillery's 2.81 distillation process, and it is matured in both American and European oak.
The nose brings fruitcake, old books and a faint curl of smoke. The palate is dense and textured, with roasted malt, dark berries, nutmeg and toffee. The finish is long, warming and slightly spicy, with leather, charred wood and dark cocoa.
