Mortlach 16 Years Old is a single malt from Speyside in Scotland, matured entirely in sherry casks.
The nose is rich and complex, with earthy, spiced berry fruit, ginger, orange peel, roasted chestnut, apple, blackcurrant pie and papaya. The palate is full and weighty, with ripe oak, plum, clove and macadamia, plus a touch of roasted earth. The finish is long, with walnut and chewy raisin, then a late note of ginger.
