Mortlach Special Release 2022 is a single malt released as part of the Diageo Special Releases of that year, in a 75cl bottle.
Most Mortlach whiskies are traditionally aged in sherry casks, but this one turns to other wines. It was finished in red muscat and tawny port casks, with a little whisky finished in virgin oak in the mix.
It is described as big, rich and spicy, with layers of dark red fruit flavour.
