Mosgaard – 7 Sisters Oloroso 2nd Edition 2025 (57%)

This is the second release in Mosgaard's 7 Sisters series, a seven year old Danish whisky bottled at 57%. In 2017 Mosgaard filled seven 140 litre casks, rebuilt from Oloroso sherry casks 30 to 40 years old, with new spirit. They are slightly larger than the quarter casks the distillery normally uses. One cask is to be released each year until the last reaches 12 years old. The notes describe plums, apples, citrus and peach, with a malty sweetness and spice from cloves, cinnamon and exotic pepper.
