Mosgaard Pedro Ximenez Batch 1 is an organic single malt from the Mosgaard distillery on South Funen, in a 50cl bottle. It is made from organic Danish barley, malted to the distillery's own specification. The whisky was matured first in new French oak and then spent its last six months in ex-Pedro Ximenez sherry casks. The result sets fresh French oak tannins against spiced sherry sweetness. Batch 1 is a numbered release of 300 bottles. In the glass there is intense malt sweetness, chocolate, apples, citrus, dried fruits and burnt figs.
