This is a Craigellachie distilled in 2008 and bottled at 12 years old by the independent bottler Murray McDavid. It is a Speyside single malt at 50% in a 70cl bottle, and 1,054 bottles were produced.
The whisky was first matured in a Sherry hogshead, then finished in a first-fill Murça Tawny Port cask.
The nose offers malted fruit, floral notes, toasted nuts and delicate spice. On the palate come warm orange zest, apple and pear, dark toffee and roasted chestnuts, followed by a long finish of chocolate fondant and sweet oak spice.
