Myers's Signature Cask Collection George T. Stagg Finish is a Jamaican dark rum finished in barrels that previously held George T. Stagg bourbon from the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection. It is one of five expressions in the Signature Cask Collection, launched in October 2024.
The base is Myers's molasses-driven Jamaican rum, distilled in pot and column stills. At 50% it is the strongest in the collection, which shows the influence of the barrel-proof bourbon casks.
The nose has dark molasses, leather, coffee and charred oak, with warm vanilla and toasted nuts. The palate offers dark cherry, brown sugar, dark chocolate and toasted oak, with bourbon warmth. The finish is long and slightly smoky, with oak and bourbon spice.
