This is a Jamaican dark rum from Myers's, finished in barrels that once held William Larue Weller wheated bourbon from the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection. It is one of five expressions in the Signature Cask Collection, launched in October 2024.
The rum is made from molasses, distilled in both pot and column stills, and bottled at 41.5% ABV. The wheated bourbon barrels give a softer, more dessert-like influence.
The nose offers brown sugar, butterscotch, ripe banana and toasted oak. On the palate come toffee, dark cherry, creamy vanilla and soft baking spice. The finish is long and mellow, with oak, dried fruit and a nutty close.
