Natterjack Irish Whiskey (70cl, 40%)

Natterjack is a triple-distilled Irish blended whiskey in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 40% ABV. The whiskeys are married in the cask, matured first in ex-bourbon casks and then finished in new American oak that has held no other spirit. The grain base is 80% maize and 20% malted barley, and it is not chill-filtered. The name comes from the natterjack toad, the only toad native to Ireland. Gortinore Distillers & Co. launched it in 2019 as its first whiskey. The nose brings together vanilla, apple and cinnamon with citrus. The palate is soft and almost creamy, with orange and orange peel, spice, cedar and tobacco. The finish is clean and fresh.
