Nc'Nean – 2018 6 Year Old Cask Series 025 (North Star) (70cl, 59.1%)

A six-year-old single cask Highland single malt from Nc'Nean, bottled by North Star Spirits as Cask Series 025. It was distilled in September 2018, matured in an STR red wine barrique and bottled in February 2025. The cask produced 285 bottles at 59.1% ABV, each in a 70cl bottle. The whisky is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour. The nose offers banana coated in marzipan and barley sugar. On the palate, salted cashews meet sweet birthday cake, with peanut brittle, plums, cinnamon pastry and fresh toffee in the wider flavour. The finish is dry, long and distinctly savoury.
