This is a six-year-old Highland single malt from Nc'nean, an organic distillery run by women. It matured in a single first-fill STR hogshead and is bottled at a cask strength of 54.3% ABV.
The age statement makes it one of the older releases from the distillery, and it is the first independent exclusive bottling of Nc'nean for the German market.
In the tasting notes, the nose is full of raspberries and redcurrants, with red berry compote dusted in cane sugar and a hint of cassis. The palate opens herbal and spicy with thyme and rosemary, then moves to fruit sweetness and light tannins. The finish is herbal, spicy and sweet, fading slowly.
