Nc'nean – 8 Year Old Vintage 2017 Organic Oloroso Sherry Butt, Kirsch Import 50th Anniversary (59.4%)

This is an organic Highland single malt from Nc'nean, distilled in August 2017 and matured for eight years in a single Oloroso sherry butt. It was bottled at 59.4% ABV for the 50th anniversary of Kirsch Import, in an edition of 661 bottles. The whisky is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. The nose offers ripe Medjool dates, spiced oranges and Christmas cake. On the palate there is intense sherry sweetness with concentrated orange and festive spice, held in balance by oak. The finish is long, with gentle spice, a touch of dark cocoa and dried dates.
