Nc'nean – Huntress 2023 Woodland Candy (70cl)

This is a single malt Scotch from Nc'nean, the Highland distillery founded in 2013, released as part of its Huntress range in 2023. The range is where the distillery shows its approach to discovery and innovation. It is made with a four-yeast recipe that includes white and red wine yeasts, and matured in a combination of STR casks and first-fill bourbon casks. The nose brings marshmallow tea cakes, candied tropical fruit, a splash of toffee and fried berries. On the palate come oak, honey and creamy fruit, and the finish carries burnt sugar, plums, oak spice and aromatic spices.
