Nc'nean – Huntress Malted Teacake 2026 Organic Single Malt (70cl, 48.5%)

Malted Teacake is the fifth edition in Nc'nean's experimental Huntress series, an organic Highland single malt bottled in January 2026 at 48.5%. It is in a 70cl bottle, with 4,391 bottles made. It grew from a 2022 brewer's yeast trial, including Dubbel Trouble, a Belgian ale yeast. Eleven bourbon and STR casks of the experimental spirit were married with three older casks of the classic recipe, filled in 2017. The mix is 50% STR red wine, 48% bourbon and 2% oloroso casks, mostly three to four years old. It has natural colour and is not chill-filtered. The nose brings figs, pastry, sultanas and apricots. The palate has freshly baked cake, dried fruit and crème caramel. The finish is medium to long, malty and lively.
