Nc'nean – Organic Single Malt Whisky Cask Strength Batch CS/GD06 (70cl, 59.6%)

Nc'nean Organic Single Malt Cask Strength Batch CS/GD06 is a special bottling made for the German market, from unpeated Scottish organic barley. It was bottled by the distillery in August 2023 at 59.6%, without chill-filtering or added colour, in a run of 4,998 bottles of 70cl. The batch was vatted from 55% STR red wine casks, 43% ex-bourbon casks and 2% ex-Oloroso sherry casks. STR casks are red wine barrels that have been shaved, toasted and re-charred. The casks were filled between October 2017 and December 2019. The nose shows heather and other herbs with lemon, peach and apricot. The palate is full and sweet, with citrus, salted caramel, oak, nutmeg and pepper, and the long finish stays herbal and spicy.
