Nc'nean – Quiet Rebels Simon Stout Cask Finish (70cl, 48.5%)

This is a limited single malt from Nc'nean, the distillery on the west coast of Scotland, finished in a stout cask. It is the Simon edition in the Quiet Rebels series and is bottled at 48.5% ABV. The stout cask finish adds roasted notes, cocoa, coffee and a slightly bitter malt character to the distillery's fruity, elegant house style, setting light fruit against darker cask spice. The nose offers malt, cocoa, coffee, ripe fruit and vanilla. The palate is creamy with caramel, toasted malt, dark chocolate and fruit, and the finish is of medium length, malty and slightly bitter.
