Nelson Brothers Classic Bourbon is a high-rye blended straight bourbon from Nelson's Green Brier Distillery in Nashville, Tennessee. The mash bill is corn, rye and malted barley, and the spirit is aged in new charred American oak barrels.
The distillery was revived in 2014 by brothers Andy and Charlie Nelson, descendants of Charles Nelson, whose Green Brier Distillery operated before Prohibition. It comes in a 750ml bottle.
The nose is rye spice, caramel, vanilla and fresh grain. On the palate, high-rye spice meets caramel sweetness and well-integrated oak. The finish is medium to long and warm, with rye spice and caramel lingering.
