Nelson Brothers Classic Bourbon (75cl, 46.6%)

This is a blend of straight bourbon whiskeys made by the grandsons of Charles Nelson, in honour of their family's distilling heritage. The Classic release is bottled at 93.3 proof and uses a high-rye mash bill. It joins the sweetness of a traditional Kentucky-style bourbon with a bright spice, and can be sipped neat or used in cocktails. The nose has baked apple, vanilla bean, a little citrus and gentle baking spices. The palate is smooth, with caramel, milk chocolate and vanilla, orchard fruit and a peppery rye kick. The finish is clean and warming, with sweet spice and toasted oak.
