Nelson Brothers Cognac Cask is a bourbon bottled at 48.35% ABV, in a 75cl bottle. It belongs to the Nelson Brothers Cask Finish Series, in which the bourbon completes its ageing in a different type of cask. Here the casks are French oak, previously used to age eau-de-vie made from Cognac grapes. The bourbon itself is high in rye.
Pear, creme brulee and raspberry mark the nose. On the palate come nutmeg, shortbread and honey, and the finish brings apple, toffee and clove.
