New Riff Bottled in Bond Kentucky Straight Rye is a four-year-old rye whiskey from New Riff Distilling, bottled in bond and without chill filtration. The mash bill is 95% rye and 5% malted rye, and it was aged in full-size 53-gallon toasted and charred new oak barrels.
It has a deep amber colour. The nose shows mint, black pepper and vanilla with hints of orange and oak, and the palate brings cinnamon, vanilla, toffee and rye spice. The finish is bold with rye spice, vanilla buttercream and lingering brown sugar.
