This is a Kentucky straight bourbon from New Riff, made in Newport, Kentucky. It has spent at least four years in new, toasted and charred oak casks and is bottled in bond at 50% ABV, with the whiskey coming from a single distillation season.
It is bottled without chill filtration and without added colouring.
On the nose there is caramel, vanilla and toasted oak, with dark fruit and a light grain spice. The palate brings toffee and brown sugar alongside pepper, cinnamon and firm oak, leading to a long, spicy finish.
