New Riff – Winter Whiskey Bottled in Bond (75cl)

New Riff Winter Whiskey is a bottled in bond bourbon in a 75cl bottle. The idea came from the chocolate oatmeal stouts the distillers enjoyed during their earlier careers in brewing. Oats, both raw and malted, give it a distinctive spice, set against roasted cocoa notes from chocolate malt. The spice is different from that of rye and has been likened to kasha-style buckwheat or perhaps blueberry skin. The palate combines dry cocoa, a balanced amount of oak and oaty spice. The finish is dusted with Belgian cocoa and leans towards a delicate dryness rather than sweetness.
