Nikka Coffey Grain Whisky (70cl)

Nikka Coffey Grain is a Japanese grain whisky in a 70cl bottle. It is made mostly from corn and distilled in Coffey stills at the Miyagikyo distillery. It is part of the regular Nikka range, so it is not tied to small single cask releases. The nose is juicy, with ripe pear, cherry and exotic fruits. On the palate there is ripe fruit, banana and caramel, with a likeness to a good sipping rum, then liquorice and spices such as star anise. It ends on a light, bitter finish.
