Nikka Date Sendai Miyagikyo is a blended whisky bottled at 43%. It combines malt and grain whiskies made mainly at Miyagikyo, with a contribution of grain whisky from Ben Nevis in Scotland. Its character draws on Nikka's Coffey Malt and Coffey Grain whiskies. The label references Date Masamune and his crescent moon helmet. Woody and malty aromas mingle with vanilla and floral touches, leading to a creamy palate of honey, vanilla and chocolate. Subtle peat balances the sweetness before a long finish with gentle bitterness.
