A 10 year old single malt from Nikka's Miyagikyo distillery, bottled at 45% abv. It returns to the range after a break of ten years, and 9,000 bottles were made for the European market.
The whisky matured in oak casks. Miyagikyo is described as an unpeated distillery, working with tall pot stills and plenty of copper contact.
The nose is fresh, with apple, pear and citrus alongside vanilla, floral notes and fine oak.
