Nikka Miyagikyo – 10 Year Old Single Malt (70cl, 45%)

Miyagikyo 10 Year Old is a Japanese single malt from Nikka's Sendai distillery in Miyagi Prefecture, bottled at 45% ABV. It returns after a decade-long absence. The distillery was founded in 1969 by Masataka Taketsuru. The whiskies in the bottle were aged for at least ten years in the mountains of Miyagi. The label is textured washi paper, its colour shifting from pink to deep forest green. Tropical fruit such as pineapple and mango leads the nose, with vanilla, baking spices and cloves on the palate and an elegant caramel finish.
