This is a 15 year old single malt from the Miyagikyo distillery of Nikka in Japan, distilled in 2010 and bottled in 2026. It matured fully in a single port hogshead, number 125992. It belongs to the Artist Collection, and the label carries the artwork "Landscape with a Green Curtain and the Pagoda House Spire" by Yoshika Hase. The nose shows ripe apricot and dark berries, with raisin and a hint of vanilla. On the palate a spicy note of cinnamon runs through the dense structure of the port cask. The finish is dry, with oak, rounded off by a subtle veil of smoke.
