Nikka Miyagikyo Aromatic Yeast Discovery Series 2022 (70cl, 47%)

Miyagikyo Aromatic Yeast is a 2022 release in Nikka's Discovery range, a limited edition bottled at 47% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is made with a specific, selected yeast, which brings distinctive aromas of peach and apricot along with delicate floral notes. Miyagikyo distillery was founded in 1969 by Masataka Taketsuru, known as the father of Japanese whisky. The nose is lavender, marshmallow and liquorice, with vanilla and coconut milk. The palate is full and balanced, with herbal notes, juicy peach and acacia honey. The finish is long and silky, herbal, minty and lightly spiced, with a fresh floral note.
