Nikka Miyagikyo Single Malt is a Japanese single malt, bottled at 45% in a 70cl bottle. It comes from Miyagikyo, Nikka's second distillery, built in 1969 on a site enclosed by mountains and set between the Shin and Hirose rivers. Nikka was founded by Masataka Taketsuru.
The colour is bright gold. The nose is fresh and led by barley, with juicy, estery aromas of banana confectionery over a discreet, sweet smoky base. The palate follows the nose, with spice and smoke becoming more noticeable.
