Nikka Miyagikyo Single Malt (70cl)

Nikka Miyagikyo Single Malt is a Japanese single malt from Miyagikyo distillery, in a 70cl bottle. It is Nikka's entry-level whisky from the distillery, light in body and fruity, with sherry-cask character. The nose is rich, opening with iris and moving through malted barley, banana, liquorice and camphor, then burnt wood, ash, white flowers and beeswax. On the palate malted barley sits at the centre, coated in herbal, liquorice, ginger, cinnamon and chocolate tones, ending with fresh tobacco leaf and coconut. The finish is long and soft, with notes of wilted roses, lemon and grapefruit, tobacco, cardamom, toasted nuts and stewed apple and damson.
