Taketsuru 17 Year Old is a Japanese blended malt made as a tribute to Masataka Taketsuru, the founder of Nikka. It is bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It combines single malts from Nikka's two distilleries, Yoichi and Miyagikyo, and contains no grain whisky. It is described as generous, fruity and lightly smoky. The nose offers candied fruit, kirsch-soaked morello cherry, vanilla and a touch of oak. The palate is round, with cherry, caramel, soft spice and malt. The finish is long and smokier, with wood and dried fruit.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
