This is a 17 year old blended malt from Nikka, made by vatting malt whiskies from the Yoichi and Miyagikyo distilleries. It comes in a 70cl bottle at 43% ABV, matured in a variety of casks.
The Taketsuru range takes its name from Nikka's founder, Masataka Taketsuru. This expression has won awards over the years, including World's Best Malt Blend and Best Japanese Malt Blend at the 2015 World Whisky Awards.
