Nikka Yoichi Discovery Aromatic Yeast

Nikka Yoichi Discovery Aromatic Yeast is a Japanese whisky from the Yoichi distillery, made to show how a different yeast can influence the distillery's robust, smoky character. Rather than the classic peat smoke, it has a softer, more layered profile in which smoke and fruity aromas blend. The nose offers light peat smoke, apple, pear and a hint of clove. The palate brings dried fruit, subtle spice and a gentle smokiness. The finish is warm and lightly spicy, with caramel and roasted nuts.
