Nikka Yoichi Single Malt Japanese Whisky (70cl, 45%)

This is a single malt from Nikka's Yoichi distillery on the coast of Hokkaido, bottled at 45% in a 70cl bottle. The salty sea air and traditional coal-fired distillation shape a full-bodied whisky with a smoky edge. The nose offers dried fruit, toasted oak and a hint of brine. On the palate come peat smoke, caramelised malt, orchard fruit and subtle spice. The finish is long, warming and slightly coastal.
