O'Driscolls Irish Whiskey Matured in Bourbon Cask (75cl, 43%)

O'Driscolls is an Irish whiskey in a 75cl bottle, made by direct descendants of the O'Driscoll clan as a tribute to their pirate and smuggler ancestors from Baltimore, West Cork. It is a blend of grain whiskey and malted barley, triple distilled and matured entirely in bourbon casks for a minimum of three years. It is bottled at 43%. Golden in colour, it has a light nose of toffee apple, cloves, butterscotch and cinnamon. Sweetness leads on the palate, followed by toffee, soft vanilla, fruit and a little spice, and the finish is spicy and lingering with plenty of sweetness.
