Octomore 16.1 is a heavily peated single malt from Islay, bottled at 59.3% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Octomore began as a distillery founded in Port Charlotte in 1816 by George Montgomery. It passed to Thomas Pattison in 1852 and closed that same year. Plans to reopen it came to nothing in 2008, but Bruichladdich has filled a heavily peated malt under the Octomore name since then.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
