Octomore 16.3 is a cask strength Islay single malt from Bruichladdich, bottled at 61.6% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill filtered and of natural colour.
It is distilled from Concerto barley grown on Octomore Farm and peated to 274 PPM. The whisky was matured entirely on Islay in first-fill bourbon, second-fill wine and virgin oak casks.
The nose is sweet peat smoke, honeyed malt and orchard fruit, with toasted oak, vanilla cream and a coastal note. The palate has strong peat with toffee, citrus, oak spice and sea salt, and the finish is long and warming with charred oak, smoke and lingering sweetness.
